  1. The checker at Walgreen's told me last week that they changed their coupon policy. You can only use one coupon per item (Walgreens or manufacturer). If this is indeed the case, it will make the deals not as good. Just wondering if you hear anything like this?

  2. Anon,

I have not heard this yet. I wouldn't be surprised to see this happen sometime; however, realistically it doesn't hurt Wags to take both. The manufacturer reimburses them for the coupon...

Readers: Please report if you have problems or success:)

    Thanks,

    Karissa

  3. My Walgreen had some colors of the Goody elastic hairbands on sale for $2.19. So it made the pack only $0.19. I was worried a RR wouldn't print since it was cheaper than $2.99 but it did for $2 off next purchase.
Also, I had no trouble using both manufacturer's and Wags coupons this morning. Just hand them the Wags ones last.

  4. a couple of the Walgreens in town are aweful about taking coupons, MFRs and their own. The best one is I think is the one on Crestline and Wellesly, the cashiers are always great about taking coupons, the manager is a coupon king, and it is always well stocked.

  5. I have never had any problems at ANY of the Walgreens on the Northside with any of my coupons. A few issues with the cats not printing and some telling me it was because I used coupons, but other than that . . . so far great experiences at all.

  6. Anon, Leah, and Joelle,

Thanks for the updates! I agree that they are pretty friendly for the most part. Have you ever seen Undercover Boss? I think it would be great for some of the bosses of these stores to see the good and the bad when it comes to couponing. Some of the cashiers just don't get that they are making money by taking coupons, because the company gets reimbursed. Of course there are situations where they don't make money off us...:) too bad...ha!

Please be sure to let the readers know of any issues at the stores! (email me with success or failures).

    Have a great week,

    Karissa

  7. Hey Karissa,

Do you know which of the Childrens Tylenol are the ones priced @ $4.49? I was in there today and none are marked even close to that . . I didn't have time to have the cashier scan a bunch of different one. I'd like to get that deal.

    Thanks!

  8. No RR printed for my Excedrin Pain relievers. The Manager said there was no RR for that item. But $0.50 is still a very good deal for something that I use often.

  9. No RR printed for my Excedrin either.

  10. Karissa,
Thanks for all your great deal ideas. I recently did the softsoap body wash transaction and the huggies wipes. On both transactions the register gave the death beep. Luckily the cashiers were nice enough to hand override the coupons in, but I notice on the receipt that the walgreens coupons (photo copy ones you get by the door) are coming up as manufacture coupons. Are you getting this beep when you use one of these coupons and a manufacturer? I noticed someone said hand over the manuf. coupons first, does it make a difference? Where are you located? I went to the Walgreens in spokane on crestline and wellsley and they were 2.99 not 2.79. Still a good price.

  11. Diane,
Although the photocopied Coupons state that they are manufacturer Coupons they are actually Walgreens Coupons. The Safeway Coupon Booklet Huggies Coupon always beeps, but they just push it through. There is nothing wrong with the Coupon but it always seems to have trouble. I am located in North Spokane, I have noticed that the price of the Huggies wipes varies at each store. The Walgreens on Hwy 395 is the store that I bought them at for $2.79. Hope this helps.

  12. Kelli and Joelle,
Not sure why the RR didn't print on the Excedrin. I has been printing for some and not others...SORRY!
