Making MONEY at Safeway!

OK...I know I am a cleaning product FREAK! However, the Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-a-Clean is the best shower cleaning product available. Seriously, I love this stuff. The best part is, it actually keeps your shower clean and all you have to do is hold down the trigger. I really have never seen a product be so easy! So, what could be even better? MAKING MONEY off it...obviously :) Check out the scenario below:

Safeway:
Scrubbing Bubbles Extend-a-Clean $6.99x2
-$5.00/1 Printable Coupon x2
=$3.98, get back $6.00 in Catalina's (you get a $3.00 Catalina for every one Extend-a-Clean you buy)
=$2.02 Moneymaker!

I purchased 4 in one transaction and got back 4 $3.00 Catalina's. Moral of the story is you can get as many in one transaction as you have Coupons for.

  2. Please see your copy of Safeway's coupon policy posted on this website. States that Safeway is not supposed to accept printed coupons for over 50% of the value of an item.

  3. Karissa....I went to my Safeway in Oregon and was told I can no longer use ANY coupon over 2.50 internet or manufacture...So I still purcharsed them and was able to double the coupon for an extra .50 each and then got a 3.00 cat for each one...you have a nice safeway!

  5. Mrs Filley,
Every Safeway is a little different, I really think it depends on the cashiers mood too.

    Anon,
I have heard this about Safeway not accepting Coupons over 50% of the price of the item. My Safeway has never enforced this and I am not about to argue with them. I do understand that is their policy but many of the Safeways I go to have never implemented this.

  6. Thanks so much for posting this deal. I did it this morning and it worked like a charm. Very very nice! I am with you on the "rule" too. Yes, it is stated in their coupon policy, but so far I too have not had a problem. So far, I have had really really good luck with Safeway and they have been very kind to me. So far......Thanks again!!! :)

  7. Karissa,
Which Safeway do you use? I went to the one on Neider and they had issues with the coupon ($5.00) being more than 50% of the price AND they wouldn't allow the same coupon more than once even though they had different numbers on the barcode.

    Thanks for all your work!

  8. i bought two of these with the printable coupons you have linked above....neither catalina printed...I am pretty bummed. Would the catalina company have an issue with sending me two catalina's? what has been your experience in the past?

  9. Brianne,
I shop at the Safeway at Northpointe in Spokane, WA. It is per their store policy to not accept coupons for more than 50% of the cost of the item. I have run into this yet. I really think it depends on the cashier.

    Anon,
I would call the Catalina Company. I have done this several times and they just send via postal mail the Catalinas. If you don't want to do this, than you could return the product. It is really easy to call the Catalina Company though, that is what I would do. There phone number is:
    1-888-8COUPON.
